In the Pre-sales Engineer role you will work in a close relationship with our account managers, both with new customer opportunities as well as our existing customers around the globe.
Responsibilities
· Make customer needs analysis and transform these into technical solutions including network planning and design.
· Provide technical consultation to customers and partners on our products.
· Make written and oral presentations of our products and services in a logical and understandable way and conduct product demonstrations.
· Assist in providing basic Technical Assistance on Net Insight’s products.
· Assist in installation, training and final network testing for customer roll-outs.
Functional skills and personal characteristics
· You should have a minimum of 5 years of successful systems engineer pre-sales support in the area of TV broadcasters, network operators or network equipment vendors.
· Excellent communication, administrative, organizational and language skills
· Knowledge about networking techniques such as SDH/SONET, ATM and IP/MPLS is a plus.
· Previous experience in specification and/or design of networks for DVB-T, DVB-H and/or IPTV is a plus.
· Hands-on experience in education and training
· HandsMaster degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or similar education
As a person you must be an intense cross-functional team player and be able to work and travel independently.
Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required for this position.
You will be based at Net Insight’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore and work with customers on a regional basis. Applicants must be able to travel.
