E1/T1 Access

The E1 and T1 Access modules offer a transparent PDH transport service for the Nimbra One and Nimbra 340 family of products. Utilizing the platform's inherent support for streaming media, E1 and T1 circuits can easily be provisioned between any points of the network. Each E1/T1 board provides 8 independent bi-directional 2Mbps or 1.5Mbps ports. Each circuit is independently switched and carries its own timing, derived from the source. The board supports flexible voice VPN solutions as a complement to the data and video services offered by the Nimbra platform.

The E1/T1 Access Modules provides high-quality streaming of either E1 or T1 traffic. Today E1 and T1 is used in large quantities for voice and legacy data transport. The Nimbra platform integrates transport of E1/T1 traffic as well as IP/Ethernet data and video services, making it possible to both preserve earlier investments in legacy equipment as well as to offer new IP/data based services over the same platform.

A Nimbra 340 equipped with the E1/T1 Access Module together with the fixed Gigabit Ethernet port constitutes an ideal Integrated Access device for the city network, business park or large/medium organization.
